Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson*****

Speak is almost the same as Twisted, as in deals with popularity issues, another book by Laurie Halse Anderson. This book is just amazing. It is about a girl hiding her feelings after calling the police during a party. She is now the school's very own Outcast. Nobody wants to be her friend except for the new girl, but then the new girl finds other friends.

This book is a heck of a story. I really think that this book had a lot of detail. Melinda is always dealing with school troubles. She has bossy teachers who will jump at the chance to punish her. I think that Laurie Halse Anderson creates powerful characters that can influence the way I, and other people, read. I highly recommend this book.
